Nuffield Health is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Pharmacy Manager to join our team at The Manor Hospital.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide leadership and guidance on medicines management to ensure safe, cost-effective, and legal processes across all clinical departments.
- Lead and motivate the pharmacy team to deliver high-quality clinical care and advice to patients and healthcare professionals.
- Develop and implement policies, procedures, and guidelines to optimize antimicrobial stewardship and minimize hospital-acquired infections.
- Conduct daily ward rounds to reconcile medication, counsel patients, and manage PODs.
- Assist in facilitating timely and informed discharge of patients by dispensing, accuracy checking, and clinically checking TTOs.
- Implement and monitor Department of Health guidance on controlled drugs use and ensure quarterly CD audits.
- Manage errors, complaints, and incidents related to medicines and report them using the RADAR system.
- Support the development of other healthcare professionals and deliver medicines-focused training as needed.
Requirements:
- Registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council.
- Experience working in a clinical setting as a Pharmacist.
- Leadership/managerial experience in a Pharmacy setting.
- Awareness and knowledge of Oncology Pharmacy.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and make decisions independently.
