Electrical Engineer Job Description

We are seeking an Electrical Engineer to join our team at CV Library. As an Electrical Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and developing electrical systems for industrial materials handling equipment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop project specifications and create electrical drawings using AutoCAD Electrical.
  • Select and integrate electrical components into original machine systems.
  • Contribute to the design of components to be packaged onto vehicles, taking into account space constraints.
  • Specify Ex-certified primary traction batteries for equipment.
  • Define electrical enclosure layouts and population.
  • Design solutions to achieve optimal execution cost.
  • Specify product test requirements to support compliance activities.
  • Produce documentation to support product certification and prepare product risk assessments.
Requirements:
  • Experience in a similar role.
  • Proficient in using AutoCAD Electrical.
  • HNC/D or equivalent in electrical, electronics, or automotive engineering.
  • Good foundation knowledge of electrical and electronic systems.
Desirable Qualifications:
  • Design of industrial vehicle electrical systems.
  • Design of electrical machine systems and controls.
  • Broad knowledge of electrical and electronic control systems.
  • CAN protocol knowledge.
  • Experience of working in a highly regulated environment.
  • Exposure to CE marking and creation of technical construction files.
  • Knowledge of EMC relating to machines and control techniques.
  • Background in fault finding complex electrical systems.
  • Hazardous area regulations and design standards knowledge.
