Financial Accounting Specialist

Your new role at Hays Specialist Recruitment Limited involves working with a huge retail company based in Watford.
- Vendor Invoice Preparation: Accurately and promptly prepare vendor invoices for freight, expenses, utilities, and capital expenditure to enable entry onto the finance system.
- General Ledger Coding: Code vendor invoices in accordance with the General Ledger account structures.
- Invoice Routing and Approval: Route vendor invoices to the appropriate budget holders and ensure timely approval for payments.
- Vendor Invoice Queries: Resolve vendor invoice queries by liaising with external suppliers and budget holders.
- Supplier Statement Reconciliation: Perform supplier statement reconciliations in accordance with the Supplier Statement Reconciliation programme.
- Petty Cash and Cheque Disbursements: Process Warehouse petty cash and cheque disbursements.
- Employee Expense Claims: Process Employee Expense Claim forms, ensuring compliance with the Travel and Expenditure policy and accurate VAT claiming.
- Periodic Reporting and Reconciliations: Prepare periodic reporting and period-end balance sheet reconciliations.
- Ad-Hoc Queries: Address other ad-hoc queries as they arise.
