Culinary Operations Manager

Sodexo is seeking a skilled Cook Manager to oversee the food and beverage operations at St Augustine Primary School-Gillingham. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality food and service standards, while also managing the kitchen's finances and staff.
Key Responsibilities- Manage the replenishment of food and the dismantling of work areas at the end of service.
- Develop, mentor, and train the kitchen team to ensure they have the skills and knowledge needed to deliver exceptional results.
- Control labor, food, and stock expenses to optimize the catering operation.
- Manage and optimize all costs under your control to ensure the kitchen's financial stability.
- Ensure uniformity in food and service standards provided to staff, visitors, and students.
- Develop and implement menus that meet the needs and preferences of our clients.
- Conduct routine audits to ensure standards are being followed and identify areas for improvement.
- Proven expertise in cooking for large groups, with experience managing kitchen operations.
- Ability to follow recipes and manage inventory effectively.
- Previous experience in staff supervision or line management.
- Knowledge of health and safety procedures and ability to work under pressure.
- Basic food handling skills certification, such as NVQ Level 2 or Level 2 Food Safety Certificate.
