About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Flagship Duty Station Manager to join our team at Great Western Railway (GWR). As a key member of our station management team, you will be responsible for leading a team of station managers and ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our stations.

Your primary focus will be on delivering excellent customer service, managing station processes, and ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory requirements. You will work closely with our station teams to identify areas for improvement and implement changes to enhance the customer experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead a team of station managers to deliver excellent customer service and ensure the safe and efficient operation of our stations.
  • Manage station processes, including ticketing, customer information, and station cleaning.
  • Ensure compliance with safety and regulatory requirements, including health and safety protocols and industry standards.
  • Work closely with our station teams to identify areas for improvement and implement changes to enhance the customer experience.
  • Monitor and report on station performance, including customer satisfaction, safety, and operational metrics.
Requirements
  • Proven experience in a leadership role, preferably in a customer-facing industry.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead and motivate a team.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to identify and implement process improvements.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a focus on delivering excellent customer service.
  • Knowledge of safety and regulatory requirements, including health and safety protocols and industry standards.
