Regional Health and Safety Manager - Civil Engineering

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Regional Health and Safety Manager to join our team in Civil Engineering. As a key member of our Health, Safety, Environment, and Quality (HSEQ) department, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the health and safety of our employees, contractors, and the public.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the Group HSEQ Manager and Group HSEQ Director in developing and implementing health and safety strategies and policies.
  • Conduct regular audits and inspections to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and company policies.
  • Liaise with stakeholders, including HSE, EA, SEPA, and Local Authorities, to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
  • Review and edit incident investigations and reports to ensure quality and accuracy.
  • Develop and implement training programs to enhance health and safety knowledge and skills.
  • Collaborate with operational teams to identify and mitigate risks, and to develop and implement risk management strategies.
  • Represent the company at HSEQ seminars and conferences to stay up-to-date with industry developments and best practices.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in health and safety management in a civil engineering or related industry.
  • Strong knowledge of health and safety regulations and standards.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
