About the Role
The Leeds and York Partnership NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Psychosexual Therapist to join our team. As a key member of our department, you will be responsible for providing high-quality psychosexual therapy to individuals and couples, working autonomously and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Main Responsibilities
- Provide evidence-based psychosexual therapy to patients, including assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and discharge.
- Manage a caseload of patients, working independently and as part of a team to ensure effective care.
- Contribute to the development of the psychosexual medicine service, including the planning and delivery of specialist training to other professional groups.
- Participate in clinical governance activities, including auditing and evaluating practice, and assisting in implementing changes in response to these.
- Work collaboratively with administration colleagues to ensure relevant clinical information is inputted into the Care Director system.
- Attend mandatory training courses in line with Trust policy.
Requirements
- Relevant undergraduate degree.
- Valid registration with COSRT (College of Sexual and Relationship Therapy) and working towards accreditation.
- Post Graduate Diploma or Masters in Psychosexual Therapy in a course accredited by COSRT.
- Experience of delivering clinical supervision and a willingness to train in clinical supervision.
- Experience of working at a senior clinical grade, with the ability to manage their own caseload and work with a high degree of autonomy.
