About Us:

The International Institute for Strategic Studies (IISS) is a world-leading think tank that examines issues of global security, political risk, and military conflict. Our commercial subsidiary, AHEL, is seeking a highly organized and proactive Head to drive the growth of our Advisory Services and lead a small and dedicated team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement strategies to drive business growth and revenue expansion.
  • Lead a team of professionals to deliver high-quality advisory services to clients.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and internal teams.
  • Collaborate with the Advisory and wider IISS team to develop new services and refine existing ones to meet client needs.
  • Manage budgets and resources to ensure efficient delivery of services.
  • Identify and capitalize on new business opportunities.
  • Develop and maintain a deep understanding of client needs and preferences.

Requirements:

  • Educated to degree level.
  • Proven experience in stakeholder management, internal relationship building, and business development.
  • Strong expertise in a subject of high relevance to geopolitics or geoeconomics.
  • Ability to distill business-relevant analysis from large volumes of information.
  • Experience of working in the private sector, using or delivering geopolitical analysis.
  • Experience of leading commercial negotiations.
