Job Description

**Job Title:** Workshop Operations Manager

We are seeking an experienced Workshop Operations Manager to join our team at Automation Experts Ltd. As a key member of our control panel manufacturing team, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our workshop.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage the control panel build team to ensure efficient and effective production
  • Supervise and update electrical drawings and documentation to ensure accuracy and compliance
  • Maintain a clean, tidy, and safe workshop environment
  • Oversee the build-up and testing of all cabinets in the office
  • Organize the transport of equipment and electrical panels to and from site
  • Responsible for monitoring and purchasing stock required for panel manufacturing
  • Take charge of Health & Safety in the workshop and on site
  • Handle project documentation, including RAMS and permits
  • Manage company resources effectively and appropriately
Requirements:
  • Completed a 3-year apprenticeship (ONC, HNC is a plus)
  • A minimum of 2-3 years' experience in managing a workshop
  • Previous experience of maintaining workshop inventory and purchasing required
  • Experience working with different voltages (24V AC/DC; 240V AC; 415V AC)
  • Experience working to IEC standards is highly desired
  • The ability to read and understand Electrical & Mechanical drawings
  • CAD experience and knowledge in EPLAN (both are a plus)
  • Knowledge in conveyor and robot systems, and PLC and HMI programming (all are a plus)
