Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Clinical Safety Specialist to oversee and ensure the safety and efficacy of our healthcare software products. The successful candidate will perform key safety functions across the business, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Systematic Review and Hazard Assessment: Conduct systematic reviews of functional design to identify potential sources of harm, undertaking hazard assessments as per Magentus' Clinical Safety Management Process in compliance with DCB0129.
- Collaboration with Development Teams: Work with product managers and development teams during the development lifecycle, driving safety within design and development through sprint reviews.
- Safety Case Documentation: Document a 'Safety Case' to demonstrate that reasonable efforts have been made to meet the ALARP principle before release of each product and subsequent maintenance releases.
- Hazard Register Maintenance: Maintain Magentus' Hazard Registers for all products.
- Clinical Risk Assessment: Perform clinical risk assessments of clinical incidents raised via the Customer Service Desk.
- Process Improvement: Review and improve Magentus' Clinical Safety Management Process to ensure compliance with DCB0129.
Requirements:
- Clinical Experience: Previous clinical experience and expertise in a clinical risk assessment as part of a Clinical Safety function for DCB0129 within the Healthcare Software Industry.
- NHS Environment Familiarity: Familiarity with the NHS environment, regulations, and expectations is highly desirable.
- Preferred Qualifications: Previous experience in Maternity or Radiology is preferred but not essential.
