We are seeking a skilled Property Maintenance Specialist to join our Communal Services Team at Octavia Housing. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in ensuring our properties and surrounding areas are clean, tidy, safe, secure, and well-maintained.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct regular property inspections to identify and address any maintenance issues, including cleaning, repairs, and gardening tasks.
  • Report and follow up on all communal repairs, ensuring prompt resolution and minimal disruption to residents.
  • Inspect play equipment regularly and report any damage or safety concerns to ensure a safe environment for children.
  • Participate in site inspections to identify areas for improvement and implement solutions.
  • Provide excellent customer service, responding to resident concerns and complaints, and liaising with contractors as needed.
  • Work collaboratively with the Housing Services Team to ensure seamless delivery of services.
  • Adhere to Octavia's health and safety policies and procedures, ensuring a safe working environment for yourself and others.
  • Be flexible and able to work at multiple sites as required.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in cleaning, caretaking, or building management is essential.
  • Sound knowledge of health and safety practices, including COSHH and Manual Handling.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to deal with residents and contractors effectively.
  • Ability to work independently and manage own workload effectively.
  • Basic DIY and maintenance skills, with the ability to carry out physical tasks as required.
