About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Procurement Business Partner to join our Corporate Services team at SES Water. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in refining procurement processes and managing supplier risk while upholding our values of Service, Commitment, Innovation, Compassion, Collaboration, and Integrity.

Key Responsibilities
  • Procurement Execution: Lead the procurement of various works, services, and supplies as part of our annual procurement programme, ensuring compliance with relevant utilities regulations and company procedures.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Manage pre-qualification, tendering, contract negotiations, and contract awards in compliance with OJEU and The Utilities Contracts Regulations.
  • Collaborative Engagement: Work closely with internal stakeholders and suppliers to ensure that procurement strategies and specifications meet business needs.
  • Process Improvement: Develop and drive process improvements, ensuring compliance and delivering the most economically advantageous solutions.
  • Supplier Management: Monitor supplier performance and continuously refine supplier risk management and assurance processes.
Requirements
  • Educational Background: Degree level or equivalent, full membership of CIPS or ASCM is desirable.
  • Experience: Experience with public or utilities procurement processes, and familiarity with NEC3 Contracts and ERP systems, e.g., SAP/Navision/MS Teams.
  • Skills: Strong understanding of procurement strategies, process, and basic supply chain principles, proficiency in MS Excel.
  • Personal Qualities: Strong team player with a proactive, organized approach. Keen attention to detail with the ability to challenge the status quo.
