Maintenance / Cleaning Operative

Job Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Maintenance / Cleaning Operative to join our team at Ryanair. As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and maintenance of our hangar facility.
Key Responsibilities
- Facilities Maintenance: Perform daily maintenance tasks to ensure the hangar facility is clean and well-maintained.
- Cleaning and Sanitation: Clean and sanitize all areas of the hangar, including the canteen, toilets, and office areas.
- Waste Management: Empty waste bins, service restrooms, and wipe down communal surfaces.
- Heavy Cleaning: Tackle heavy cleaning jobs upon request.
- Grounds Maintenance: Ensure outside walkways remain clear and free of debris.
- Reporting and Communication: Notify supervisor/manager of any repairs required and mix and dispose of all cleaning solutions appropriately.
Requirements
- Physical Demands: Ability to handle heavy equipment and machinery used in cleaning, walk, bend, push, pull, and lift repetitively during working hours.
- Knowledge and Skills: Knowledge of cleaning chemicals, proper storage, and disposal methods, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work as a team.
- Personal Qualities: Self-motivation and the ability to identify and complete needed tasks without direct supervision.
- Desirable Qualifications: Previous experience in a similar role is desirable.
- Security Clearance: Successful candidate is required to obtain a clean Disclosure Scotland to work at UK airports.
- Work Authorization: All applicants must have the unrestricted right to work in the UK.
