Job Overview

GSL Education is seeking a dedicated Behaviour Support professional to join our team in primary schools in Sheffield.

This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to the development of our young learners and make a positive impact on their educational journey.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide individual and group support to students with behavioural needs, helping them to manage their behaviour and develop positive social skills.
  • Implement behaviour management strategies and interventions, working closely with teachers and other support staff.
  • Assist in planning and delivering activities aimed at improving student behaviour, promoting social and emotional development.
  • Communicate effectively with parents and caregivers regarding student progress and behaviour, ensuring a collaborative approach to supporting students.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure consistent support for all students, promoting a safe and inclusive learning environment.
Requirements
  • Previous experience working with children, particularly in a behaviour support role, is highly desirable.
  • Relevant qualifications in education or childcare are preferred, but not essential.
  • Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude are essential for this role, as well as effective communication and organisational skills.
  • An updated CV and an enhanced DBS registered to the update service are required, as well as a commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
