Westlakes Recruit is seeking a qualified Project Engineer - Electrical with expertise in the Nuclear sector for a permanent position. This role involves overseeing significant projects and ensuring compliance with safety and engineering standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Exhibit strong leadership in Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE), fostering a robust safety culture throughout the project's lifecycle.
  2. Oversee a designated section within the Balance of Plant (BOP) for the project.
  3. Collaborate within a multidisciplinary team to ensure timely and quality delivery of project milestones while adhering to safety protocols.
  4. Guarantee that all necessary deliverables are completed promptly to avoid any construction delays.
  5. Maintain Configuration Control across the scope of Works Information.
  6. Monitor adherence to relevant codes, practices, quality assurance, and performance standards.
  7. Address technical inquiries and track project progress.

Qualifications:

  • A degree in construction, mechanical, or electrical engineering.
  • HND/HNC in electrical engineering is desirable.
  • A minimum of 5 years' experience in a Major Project Engineering role.
  • Possession of CCNSG or HSE MaPs Safety Passport.
  • Ability to obtain BPSS security clearance or higher.
  • Professional accreditation is preferred.
  • Familiarity with Navis Works is a plus.
  • Understanding of NEC ECC Contract is advantageous.
  • Proficient in basic IT applications.

Experience:

  • Demonstrated experience in successfully delivering large-scale construction or engineering projects.
  • Experience in heavy industry or nuclear sectors is beneficial, as is familiarity with Joint Venture or Alliance environments.
  • Proven capability to quickly grasp and comprehend complex subjects.
