Our client, a leading insurance company, is seeking a highly skilled Senior Broker to join their New Business team. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for generating and quoting new business, achieving monthly targets, and building strong relationships with clients and insurers.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Generate new business from leads generated by the marketing team.
  • Achieve a monthly new business target.
  • Work closely with the renewals team to manage a smooth handover post-placement.
  • Develop close working relationships with the panel of insurers.
  • Cross-sell products according to the demands and needs of clients.
  • Assist the Directors and other staff members as requested.
Requirements:
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience working in the insurance industry.
  • Excellent technical knowledge of Insurance, including Combined Liability, Contractors All Risks, Professional Indemnity, and Motor Fleet.
  • Proficient in Acturis.
  • Excellent written and telephone communication skills.
  • Proven track record for meeting and exceeding targets.
  • Strong sales and negotiation skills.
About the Role:

This is a permanent role based in Southend, Essex, with a salary between £40,000 to £50,000 (subject to experience) and a target-driven bonus scheme. You will be part of a friendly and supportive work environment, with a great opportunity to join a growing organisation with lots of training and development opportunities.
