Thorn Baker Group is a prominent recruitment agency with a robust footprint in the Industrial, Construction, and Facilities Management sectors. We are in search of a Marketing Specialist to become an integral part of our internal team, contributing significantly to the execution of strategic B2B and B2C marketing initiatives that align with our long-term business objectives, sales efforts, and candidate engagement goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with sales teams to implement effective candidate engagement and business growth campaigns across Thorn Baker's three primary brands: Industrial, Construction, and Facilities Management.
  • Proactively develop, coordinate, and execute multi-channel marketing strategies, encompassing email outreach, online advertising, public relations, social media, and digital marketing efforts.
  • Ensure that all marketing initiatives are in line with our business strategy and adhere to budgetary guidelines.
  • Assist in the management, maintenance, and enhancement of our corporate website, focusing on search engine optimization.
  • Craft compelling and engaging content for various formats, including thought leadership articles, website copy, news releases, and press materials.
  • Review and refine communications directed at candidates and clients for precision and impact.
  • Uphold the professional image and branding consistency of Thorn Baker across all marketing materials.
  • Contribute to data management efforts and ensure compliance with data protection regulations.
  • Serve as a point of contact for everyday marketing inquiries.
  • Measure and report on the return on investment for marketing activities.

Ideal Candidate:

We are seeking a motivated Marketing Specialist with the following qualifications and attributes:

  • Previous experience in a marketing role.
  • Strong understanding of both digital and traditional marketing channels.
  • A collaborative and positive team-oriented mindset.
  • Willingness to engage hands-on in marketing projects.
  • Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with internal and external stakeholders, as well as vendors.
  • Proactive and capable of working autonomously.
  • A keen eye for design and a creative flair.
  • Strong numerical skills.
  • Exceptional attention to detail, particularly in copywriting and proofreading.
  • Practical experience using social media as a marketing tool and familiarity with third-party applications and software such as Spotler, Hootsuite, and Survey Monkey. Proficiency in design tools like Photoshop and/or Canva is a plus.
  • Experience managing website updates through a CRM (Customer Relationship Management) system.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and comfortable with technology and software.
