We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Financial Accountant to join our Patient Estates team at Midlands Partnership NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing financial support and guidance to patients and staff, ensuring the effective operation of financial systems and procedures.
Key Responsibilities- Provide financial advice and guidance to patients and staff, ensuring accurate and timely processing of financial transactions.
- Manage and maintain financial records, including ledgers, cash handling, and petty cash processes.
- Implement and maintain financial policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with other teams to ensure continuity of services and ongoing improvements in delivery of service.
- Develop and maintain relationships with patients, staff, and external stakeholders to ensure excellent customer service.
- Contribute to the development of financial systems and procedures, ensuring they are efficient and effective.
- Good standard of education, including GCSEs in Maths and English.
- 2 years' experience in a finance environment, preferably in the NHS or public sector.
- Experience in finance computer systems and ledgers, as well as cash handling and petty cash processes.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, staff, and external stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a flexible approach to work.
