Head of Estates Management

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to lead our Estates team and play a key role in shaping and developing our estates asset management programme and maintenance and repair service.
The successful candidate will have operational responsibility for the management of the Trust's 'Hard FM' infrastructure and the wider Estates operational function, providing high quality, compliant, proactive maintenance and repair services for the Trust.
Main Duties of the JobKey responsibilities will include leading and developing the Estates maintenance teams across all the portfolio of SaTH sites to ensure they are 'fit for the future.'
The successful candidate will work closely with the new Director of Estates to ensure that the healthcare environment, including all buildings, engineering systems, energy infrastructure, and grounds are safe, compliant with all relevant legislation and healthcare guidance, well maintained within the agreed budget, fit for purpose, available for their intended use, and provide the best possible patient experience in a proactive manner.

In line with this vision, the Estates Directorate is seeking a highly committed and experienced professional engineering lead to join our team, who will play a key role in helping to shape and develop the Trust's estates asset management programme and maintenance and repair service.
The successful candidate will have managerial, professional, and technical responsibility for the operational estates services delivered across all of the Trust portfolio.

The successful candidate will have experience to Master's equivalent level in a building services/engineering related discipline and have worked previously in the NHS or a similar complex organisation, with evidence of management development and formal Health and Safety training/qualification.
RequirementsThe successful candidate will have a degree or equivalent, plus specialist knowledge gained through post-graduate courses.

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate flexibility and initiative when dealing with a wide range of engineering/building services, providing team leadership and coordination to achieve a high standard of productivity and workmanship.
They will be able to deliver operational estates services in the most cost-effective manner.
