Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Structural Design Engineer to join our Structures Team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the full project lifecycle, including financial management, team management, and client liaison. This is an exciting opportunity for an individual looking to progress their career as a Structural Engineer within our industry-leading team.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the Associate Director/Director in the management of the structural engineering team
- Independent management of projects and project teams
- Financial responsibility for own projects
- Preparation of fee quotations and invoicing
- Management of staff and other consultants
- Further development of the team of engineers and technicians
- Collaboration with senior stakeholders and clients
- Site visits and structural surveys, investigations, and repair schemes for structures
Requirements
- Chartered status with ICE, IStructE, or equivalent
- Experience in the design of foundations, masonry, concrete, steel, and timber structures to Eurocodes
- Experience in the residential market, including traditional construction and framed structures
- Market commercial awareness and financial management of projects
- Experience in structural investigations of low-rise residential properties, medium to high-rise residential and commercial markets
- Familiarity with Tekla software and AutoCAD/Revit
- Strong leadership skills and ability to establish authority and influence
- Previous management experience and ability to make decisions
