Job Title: Retail Team Leader

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Retail Team Leader to join our team at Camera Obscura & World of Illusions, a VisitScotland 5-Star rated visitor attraction.

The successful candidate will have a hands-on role on the shop floor and in the stockrooms, ensuring the highest possible standards are maintained with effective organisation, support, and delegation while working directly with Retail Assistants.

The Retail Team Leader will be responsible for preparing daily rotas in the absence of the Retail Supervisors, ensuring daily tasks are assigned promptly and efficiently, and that they are completed correctly.

The ideal candidate will work closely with Retail Supervisors and the Retail Manager to ensure all resources are used correctly and that the shop is running profitably.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and motivate a team of Retail Assistants to deliver exceptional customer service
  • Ensure the shop floor and stockrooms are maintained to the highest standards
  • Prepare daily rotas and assign tasks to Retail Assistants
  • Work closely with Retail Supervisors and the Retail Manager to achieve business objectives

Requirements:

  • Relevant experience in a fast-moving retail environment or visitor attraction
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team and lead others
  • Strong organisational and time management skills
