As a key member of the Fusion Lifestyle team, the *Fitness Class Instructor* plays a vital role in promoting health and wellness within the community. You will lead engaging classes in various disciplines, ensuring a supportive and motivating environment for all participants.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct fitness sessions according to the established timetable, ensuring classes start punctually.
- Tailor class options and set achievable goals that accommodate the diverse needs and abilities of participants.
- Manage class attendance and bookings in accordance with Fusion's procedures.
- Oversee the setup and breakdown of equipment to ensure smooth operation of sessions.
- Contribute innovative ideas to enhance programming and meet the evolving demands of members.
- Uphold hygiene, health, and safety standards, taking personal responsibility for compliance.
- Complete all administrative duties related to the role.
- Maintain necessary qualifications, licenses, and ongoing professional development.
Qualifications:
To excel in this role, candidates should possess:
- REPS/CIMSPA Level 2 qualification in Fitness/Exercise to Music (mandatory).
- Specific qualifications relevant to the fitness disciplines being taught (mandatory).
- Prior experience in delivering fitness classes in a similar capacity.
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations applicable to the fitness industry.
- Awareness of various learning styles to effectively engage participants.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to listen, ask questions, and provide constructive feedback.
- A talent for motivating and inspiring individuals to achieve their fitness goals.
- Proficient numerical and written skills.
- A commitment to delivering exceptional customer service to a varied clientele.
- Flexibility to adapt to the needs of participants.
