Joinery Service Assistant Position at University of Oxford

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Joinery Service Assistant to join our team at the University of Oxford. As a key member of our Estates Services Division, you will play a vital role in maintaining the university's 450 buildings, University Parks and Gardens, Wytham Woods, and commercial, agriculture, and residential land.
Key Responsibilities:
- Carry out general housekeeping duties across the Joinery Service work-space, rest area, and external locations in accordance with instructions and guidelines from the Joinery Service Manager.
- Collaborate with and support other Joinery Service team members in their day-to-day activities, including manual lifting, attendance at the site of works, and driving a university-supplied motor vehicle.
- Support and collaborate with staff from other Estates Services Division teams and sections as instructed by the Joinery Service Manager.
- Assist with basic joinery tasks, including basic decorating.
Requirements:
- Demonstrate a professional work ethic and attitude, with a keen focus on excellent customer service.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to lift and move heavy objects.
