Hours: Monday to Friday - 39 hours per week. Monday to Thursday 7:30am until 4:30pm & Fridays 07:30am until 12:30pm.

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Quality Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring compliance with AS9100 standards and all relevant regulations by supporting and monitoring Quality Assurance systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Addressing Customer Requirements: The Quality Engineer will be responsible for addressing customer requirements and ensuring that all quality-related issues are resolved in a timely manner.
  2. Participating in RCCA and Business Development Initiatives: The Quality Engineer will participate in Root Cause Analysis (RCCA) and business development initiatives to identify areas for improvement and implement changes to enhance the quality of our products.
  3. Serving as the Point of Contact for Quality Matters: The Quality Engineer will serve as the point of contact for all quality matters, both internally and with suppliers, to ensure that all quality-related issues are addressed promptly.
  4. Coordinating Internal and External Audits: The Quality Engineer will coordinate internal and external audits to maintain accreditations and ensure that our quality systems are compliant with regulatory requirements.
  5. Supporting Red Table/RCCA Activities: The Quality Engineer will support the company's Red Table/RCCA activities to identify and address quality-related issues.
  6. Reviewing First Article Inspection Reports: The Quality Engineer will review First Article Inspection Reports (FAIRs) to ensure that all quality-related issues are addressed.
  7. Leading Lean and Six Sigma Initiatives: The Quality Engineer will lead Lean and Six Sigma initiatives to identify areas for improvement and implement changes to enhance the quality of our products.
  8. Handling Other Duties: The Quality Engineer will handle other duties as assigned by the Line Manager.

Requirements:

  1. Relevant Degree or Certification: The ideal candidate should have a relevant degree or certification in Quality Assurance, Engineering, or time-served experience.
  2. Proficiency with Six Sigma Tools: The ideal candidate should have proficiency with Six Sigma tools and methodologies.
  3. Auditing Experience: The ideal candidate should have auditing experience, preferably within the aerospace industry.
  4. Strong Problem-Solving Skills: The ideal candidate should have strong problem-solving skills and experience with relevant techniques.
  5. Familiarity with AS, ISO, and NADCAP Standards: Familiarity with AS, ISO, and NADCAP standards is advantageous.
  6. Ability to Read and Interpret Engineering Drawings: The ideal candidate should have the ability to read and interpret engineering drawings accurately.
