This is an exciting opportunity to join the Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital NHS Trust as a Nursing Information Officer, playing a key role in the Leadership Team and the nursing profession.
Key Responsibilities- Provide nursing and clinical expertise to programmes in the Improvement and Transformation Team and the Electronic Patient Record Implementation.
- Engage with nursing and Allied Health Professionals (AHP) groups during digital developments and develop strategies to enhance engagement and communication.
- Champion the nursing and AHP professions, working with the Clinical Informatics Team to ensure all Trust employees' interests and patients' needs are represented in existing and developing digital applications.
- Assist in ensuring clinical safety and compliance of digital systems and processes, training, and policy with all nursing-related standards, protocols, and guidelines.
- Identify, report on, and mitigate clinical risks and issues related to the Electronic Patient Record system.
- Deputise for the Chief Nursing Information Officer as required, attending meetings and forums within the Trust, ICB, and nationally.
- Registered Nurse with evidence of continuing professional development.
- Postgraduate degree level or equivalent experience.
- Completed a Project Management or quality improvement course or equivalent experience.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, including influencing and negotiation skills.
- Experience of stakeholder engagement and influencing colleagues outside the direct line management and immediate team structure.
- In-depth professional knowledge acquired through training and experience over an extended period, in multiple care settings.
- Clinical experience of change management and successful implementation of organisation-wide digital applications.
