Senior Archivist

Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Senior Archivist to lead on managing and developing the archive collections of the Royal Commission on the Ancient and Historical Monuments of Wales. The successful candidate will have a post-graduate archive qualification and at least 3 years' experience of working in an archive.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and develop the Commission's archive collections to professional standards in an accredited archive.
- Work as part of a team to care for the records and implement future changes.
- Develop and implement digital preservation strategies to ensure the long-term accessibility of the archive collections.
- Collaborate with colleagues to ensure the Commission's archive collections are well-managed and easily accessible to users.
Requirements:
- Post-graduate archive qualification with at least 3 years' experience of working in an archive.
- Excellent digital skills and the ability to grasp technological concepts rapidly and understand their applicability to an archive environment.
- Good general knowledge of, or an interest in, the historic environment of Wales.
