Job Summary

Kent County Council is seeking a skilled and experienced Reception Centre Manager to join our Unaccompanied Asylum-Seeking (UAS) Children's Service. The successful candidate will be responsible for the day-to-day running of the reception centre, ensuring that all UAS children receive the support they need to begin their resettlement journey.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the reception centre team to provide a safe and supportive environment for UAS children
  • Develop and implement effective strategies to support the resettlement of UAS children
  • Collaborate with other teams to ensure seamless transitions for UAS children
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of services provided to UAS children
  • Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and policies

Requirements

  • Proven experience in managing a team and leading a service
  • Strong understanding of the needs of UAS children and their families
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and policies
