Compensation: Competitive salary exceeding £58,000.

Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough assessments of plans to ensure compliance with the Building Regulations.
- Perform site inspections of ongoing construction projects, maintaining detailed records of findings and decisions.
- Provide expert advice to construction professionals, property owners, and the public regarding building regulations.
- Act as the lead officer on complex projects, representing the company in multidisciplinary teams.
- Assist the Building Safety Regulator in fulfilling its role as the authority for higher-risk buildings in the North of England.
- Inspect reported dangerous structures and oversee necessary actions in accordance with the Building Act 1984.
- Manage inspections related to demolition works and investigate unauthorized building activities, ensuring appropriate enforcement actions are taken.
- Support the Building Control Team Manager by supervising daily workloads and ensuring service delivery standards are met.
Qualifications:
- A degree, HNC, or HND in Building Surveying or a related field.
- Proven experience in building control inspection, general building surveying, or project management, preferably within a local authority or building control organization.
- In-depth knowledge of current building control legislation and practical application.
- Experience with building regulation applications and familiarity with building control software systems.
- Strong analytical skills and a commitment to quality management in building control practices.
