About the Role

The New Zealand Defence Force is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Medical Officer to join our team. As a Medical Officer, you will be responsible for providing medical care and support to our personnel, both in New Zealand and overseas.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide medical care and support to personnel in a variety of settings, including camps, bases, and in the field.
  • Conduct medical assessments and provide treatment for a range of medical conditions.
  • Develop and implement health promotion programs to improve the health and wellbeing of personnel.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive medical care.
  • Participate in training and professional development to maintain and enhance medical skills and knowledge.
Requirements
  • Be a registered medical practitioner with a current practising certificate.
  • Have a minimum of 2 years' experience in a medical role, preferably in a military or healthcare setting.
  • Hold a current driver's licence.
  • Be willing to work in a variety of settings, including camps, bases, and in the field.
  • Be able to work effectively in a team environment.
