About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our Property Maintenance Team at Tesco. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our stores and properties.

Key Responsibilities
  • Interacting with External Contractors: You will work closely with external contractors to ensure that maintenance tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
  • Collaboration with the Team: As a great colleague, you will understand the importance of quality service and work collaboratively with the team to achieve our goals.
  • Assisting the Management Team: You will assist the management team in maintaining equipment and facilities, ensuring that our stores operate smoothly.
  • General Maintenance: You will be responsible for general day-to-day store and property maintenance, including representing the Tesco brand by demonstrating our core values.
  • Representing Tesco: You will represent Tesco by demonstrating our core values, maintaining a positive attitude, and taking pride in wearing the Tesco uniform.
  • Attending Meetings: You will attend local and national meetings, providing valuable input and feedback to support the team's goals.
Requirements
  • Operational Skills: You will have previous experience in a maintenance, engineering, or construction environment and be digitally confident using a tablet to view daily work schedules and manage emails.
  • Education and Certifications: You will have an ONC or equivalent and a full driving license.
  • Health and Safety Awareness: You will have health and safety awareness and completed all technical training upskilling modules relevant to your abilities.
  • Communication and Collaboration: You will have excellent communication and collaboration skills, including Office 365 knowledge.
