Join our team of data scientists and product researchers in the Research, Analytics & Data Science (RAD) team at Intercom. As a Senior Design Researcher, you will play a key role in driving effective evidence-based decisions through research and data science.

About the Role

We're looking for a highly skilled and experienced researcher to lead our UX research efforts. You will work closely with our design team to build a holistic understanding of what it's like to use Intercom as a product. Your expertise will help shape the strategy for improving Intercom's UX, developing a nuanced and persuasive understanding of how Intercom's UX impacts the business and how it can be improved.

Responsibilities
  • Drive research projects from start to finish, combining quant and qual data in compelling ways
  • Work closely with Designers and Data Scientists to build a deep understanding of user experience
  • Build relationships and collaborate with Design and Product leaders to shape UX strategy
  • Develop and improve tools and infrastructure for designers to conduct research
  • Be an ambassador for UX research across the company
Requirements
  • 5+ years of experience working with research to solve problems and drive evidence-based decisions
  • Demonstrated ability to influence and guide product and design strategy with insights
  • Strong understanding of product design and UX, and experience working closely with product design teams
  • Bonus skills: experience partnering with Data Science teams
