Job Overview

As a BMS Controls Engineer at Mitie, you will be part of a dynamic team working on a large site with multiple buildings. Your primary responsibility will be to work with the Trend BMS, which spans across various generations, including IQ2s to the present. This role is a single-site position based in Chester, where you will be working closely with the client and site operations team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Reactive Callouts and Remedial Works: Swiftly address system glitches and ensure smooth operations.
  • Strategic Contributions: Collaborate with site management to shape BMS strategies and work closely with site operations and the client to address reactive callouts and remedial/upgrade works.
  • Small Works, Big Impact: Conduct surveys, propose improvements, and quote minor projects where required.
  • BMS Enhancement: Identify opportunities for system upgrades and adopt tasks to make the site perform better.
  • Project Ownership: Manage larger works when needed and seek opportunities to gain greater experience of Trend through integration and engineering.
  • Controller Configuration: Design efficient control strategies.
  • Sustainability Advocate: Focus on supporting Mitie Plan Zero and support all service line opportunities wherever possible.
  • Safety First: Maintain Health and Safety standards.
Requirements
  • Ideal candidate will have knowledge and experience equal to the Trend Expert competency level and be able to confidently modify software and schematics for & IQVision.
  • Experience of previous generation Trend controllers will be essential.
  • Confidence in the use of the Trend SET (Software Engineering Tool) is required.
  • Electrically qualified, ideally Level 3 qualified - 18th Edition can be trained.
