About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Mobile Electrical Engineer to join our team at Dalkia UK. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for carrying out planned preventative maintenance, reactive and emergency breakdown tasks, and inspections to ensure the smooth operation of our building services equipment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out planned preventative maintenance to building services equipment, including electrical testing and inspection
  • Respond to reactive and emergency breakdown tasks, and carry out fault diagnosis and rectification
  • Conduct inspections to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and company policies
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation associated with electrical aspects of PPM and plant
  • Co-ordinate initial actions associated with client requests and ensure prompt and effective response to electrically related reactive maintenance issues
  • Assist in co-ordinating visiting specialist sub-contractors associated with electrical aspects of PPM schedules
  • Respond to call outs and cover breakdowns and emergencies associated with electrical services aspects of the contract as required
  • Ensure all tasks are completed in accordance with agreed service levels
  • Complete job sheets electronically on a Tablet or Smartphone
  • Maintain site-based records and log books
  • Carry out general cleaning and housekeeping to maximise life expectancy of all equipment
  • Proactively work to reduce energy consumption on client sites and recommend improvements
  • Work to all health, safety, compliance and local policies and procedures
  • Maintain excellent relationships with our customers – face to face, telephone and email

Qualifications and Experience Required

Essential

City & Guilds Parts 1 and 2 (Electrical Installation 2360) or recognised equivalent

18th Edition Institute of Electrical Engineers (I.E.E) Registration or recognised equivalent; or Health and Safety Training

Experience with similar maintenance duties including fault diagnosis, rectification

Experience in the Electrical aspects of general building PPM schedules

Experienced in electrical installation work, plus electrical testing and inspection

Experienced in High Voltage switching

Good Mechanical experience/knowledge

C&G in a Mechanical discipline or recognised equivalent (ie NVQ)

Good knowledge of AHU's, FCU's, AC systems, Pumps, Motors, Pipework, Plumbing and Drainage systems

A good understanding of Critical Systems and Non-Critical systems

Desirable

City & Guilds Part 3 (Electrical Installation 2360) or recognised equivalent

Electrical Apprenticeship – gained within the building maintenance industry

Experience in computer PPM management systems

Experience with Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS)

Supervisory experience for future development
