Job Title: Behaviour Support Assistant

We are seeking a skilled Behaviour Support Assistant to join our team at Teaching Personnel. As a Behaviour Support Assistant, you will provide support to students with challenging behaviour in a classroom setting, working closely with teachers and SENCO to implement behaviour management strategies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide individualised support to students with challenging behaviour
  • Collaborate with teachers and SENCO to develop and implement behaviour management plans
  • Assist in monitoring and tracking student progress in behaviour goals
  • Support students in developing social and emotional skills

Requirements:

  • Minimum of GCSEs in English and Maths
  • Experience working with children or young people in an educational setting
  • Knowledge of behaviour management techniques

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification
  • Training in de-escalation techniques

Working Conditions:

This role involves working in a classroom setting with students exhibiting challenging behaviour. The ability to remain calm under pressure and effectively manage challenging situations is essential. The role may require some flexibility in working hours to accommodate student needs.
