Cost Estimator Specialist – Pertemps TM
An exceptional opportunity has emerged for a Cost Estimator Specialist to join a reputable regional contractor on a permanent basis. This contractor operates across various sectors including educational facilities, healthcare projects, recreational venues, and commercial developments. You will play a crucial role in the preparation and submission of tenders across different procurement methods. As a Cost Estimator Specialist with this regional contractor, you will oversee the financial resources of the assigned project to optimize cash flow.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide commercial and contractual guidance to the project team
  • Evaluate, review, and address commercial and contractual risks
  • Establish policies for effective risk management
  • Prepare and present monthly financial reports
  • Assess work completed by subcontractors
  • Authorize interim and final payments
  • Prepare invitations to tender for subcontractors and analyze tender submissions
  • Facilitate timely preparation and resolution of final accounts, including variations, claims, and disputes
  • Monitor and manage project expenditures, including variations, change orders, and progress payments to ensure financial integrity and precision
Essential Skills:
  • Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field
  • Strong analytical and numerical abilities, capable of performing precise calculations and cost assessments
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, fostering effective collaboration with internal teams, subcontractors, and suppliers
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and knowledgeable in quantity surveying software
  • Valid driving license
