Team overview:

Group Enterprise Technology Solutions (GETS) are responsible for ensuring our colleagues can securely connect, collaborate, and deliver across Comcast Group companies with user experience at its heart. Sky Group is a complex and diverse organisation with broadcast, live on-air, contact centre, corporate, creative and network communication teams each of whom have their own specific requirements.

Within GETS, Group Workplace Solutions (GWS) the vision is to: Create a unified, digital-first, work from anywhere workplace that combines people and technology to empower you to be your best. The remit extends to enterprise workplace platforms and systems including client devices, productivity, unified communications, video conferencing, identity, privileged access management, file services and corporate applications. This includes the user journey and UI experience of GWS services and products. GWS also manage mission critical technical infrastructure for example AD, DHCP and DNS.

This is a newly created team the Tech Client Services department who are currently responsible for the Windows, Mac, VDI and Mobile endpoint engineering teams. The GWS Linux Platform team are responsible for the engineering, security posture and evolution of Sky's enterprise Linux endpoint estate.

Role Overview:

The Technical Specialist will report to the Linux Platform Manager and will be working alongside a team of Technical Specialists in UK and Chennai.

What you will do:

• Support the Linux estate and management platform, Tanium, ensuring smooth daily operations.
• Manage endpoint vulnerabilities, coordinating with teams for remediation to implement and uphold cybersecurity best practices.
• S upport and continue to improve the Linux Build , ensuring process documentation is maintained to reflect production.

• Troubleshoot business incidents on the Linux endpoint estate.

What you will bring:

• K nowledge in Linux System Administration .
• Familiarity with Tanium or similar management platform and its integration with Ubuntu Desktop.
• Knowledge in device hardening, CIS, and security baselining.
• Proficiency in Bash script ing creation for automation and deployment .
• Strong analytical skills to convert business requirements into technical solutions.
• A proactive attitude with the ability to work under tight deadlines in a dynamic environment.

Desired Qualities:

• Proficiency in MDM solutions such as Microsoft Intune and Jamf Pro .
• Knowledge of Modern Authentication Azure AD/Entra ID.
• Experience in Cyberark EPM or similar Endpoint Privilege Management.
• An enthusiastic and positive attitude.
• Ability to act independently while being a team player.
