As a Senior Sales Assistant, you'll support the Store Leader in managing the store and the team in the Store Leaders absence and have key-holder responsibilities.
You'll be responsible for daily activities that are achieved by the team and helping to drive the sales of the store.
We are looking for a bubbly and charismatic individual to join our team. This role involves stepping up as the stores' duty manager and includes amazing opportunities for development in retail - previous experience in retail is preferred but not a requirement.We are looking for someone who is flexible that can ideally work throughout the week in addition to weekends. Opportunity for a larger number of contracted hours is available, and there will be a 10% increase in your hourly salary for when you are duty managingthe store.

**What you’ll do**
In our stores, you won’t just work the tills and stock the shelves. Here at WHSmith, it’s all about the customer. That means being helpful, listening and talking to them, no matter how busy you are. In fact, you’ll be an all-round customer service superstar,who can understand exactly what each customer wants. That means product knowledge is very important too. Naturally, you’ll have a great team there to help you. You’ll need to work together to keep the store well stocked and tidy, even when it’s busy.
