**Do you want to be part of an ambitious and exciting programme to boost skills, well-being and learning opportunities for children and young people across North Wales?**

Wrexham Glyndwr University on behalf of the newly formed North Wales Children’s University Programme Board wishes to appoint a Children’s University Administrator to support and implement the roll out of the Children’s University approach across North Wales.

The North Wales Children’s University is an exciting new project being developed for the region to raise aspirations and encourage a love of learning for children and young people by opening up more opportunities for extracurricular learning.

The programme is part of Wrexham Glyndwr University’s Civic Mission which aims to work with partners to collectively tackle social inequality in North Wales and is being delivered in collaboration with Bangor University and key leaders including GwE, Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board, local authorities, the Public Service Boards and ACE Hub Wales, funded by the Higher Education Funding Council for Wales.

The focus of the programme is to sustain and grow the Children’s University Hub at WGU to enable and support the East, Central and West areas in a collaborative model to develop aspirations and support the new curriculum through a ‘community wide approach’.

The North Wales Children’s University will work with years 4-9 to provide as many children and young people in North Wales as possible with equal access to extracurricular activities and develop a love of learning that can drive aspiration.

To take this ambitious programme forward, we are looking for an exceptional Children’s University Administrator to provide all aspects of administrative support to the evolving Children’s University approach across the region, ranging from financial monitoring and events administration to internal and external communications.

This is a really important role to support the delivery of this significant project for North Wales. If you are experienced in administration with strong customer focused, organisation and finance and IT skills and passionate about making a difference, this role is an exciting opportunity to play a part in a regionally significant project to improve access to learning for children and young people across North Wales.

Being customer focused, highly organised, and with strong Finance and IT literacy skills are key areas for this role.

Welsh language skills are desirable for this post.

It is anticipated interviews will be held week commencing 1 May 2023 at St Asaph or Wrexham.
