Our Counselling service requires a motivated, compassionate and enthusiastic individual with a qualification in Therapeutic Counselling (Level 4 and above) and administrative experience, with excellent communication skills and attention to detail.

Previous experience of working in a fast paced counselling service would be advantageous but not essential.

The role of Counselling Coordinator is an administrative role with a maximum of three counselling clients per week, the 21 hours specified can be completed either over three or four days, excluding Wednesdays.

An understanding of the needs and issues affecting older people is essential.

The role will be based at our city centre office, but regular travel for counselling sessions will be required across the city, including our community hubs in South and North Manchester., for which travel expenses will be paid.

The successful applicant will be expected to:

- Complete all administrative duties associated with clients and volunteers
- Book and complete assessments for prospective clients
- Maintain three counselling clients per week
- Be point of contact for Volunteer Counsellors
- To assist with the recruitment, induction and retention of Volunteer Counsellors, including DBS checks
- Attending group and one to one supervision sessions
- Attending ad-hoc calls within the office

Due to the nature of the position, a DBS check is required.

**Job Type**: Part-time

**Salary**: From £16,010.16 per year

Expected hours: 21 per week
