A leading global retail brand is seeking a Senior Legal Counsel, Technology to serve as a key business partner for its innovative and dynamic technology team.
This role offers the opportunity to advise on transformative projects, collaborate with diverse stakeholders, and influence strategic decision-making, actively contributing to the brand's ongoing success.
This role can be based in London or Dublin.
Key Responsibilities Strategic Legal Advice: Provide high-quality, timely legal counsel on technology-related matters, including critical digital transformation initiatives.
Contract Management: Draft, review, and negotiate a broad spectrum of ICT and outsourcing agreements, working closely with stakeholders and external counsel as needed.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Build strong relationships across various business units, including retail, technology, marketing, finance, people & culture, and supply chain.
Strategic Influence: Guide strategic and operational decision-making at all levels of the business.
Team Leadership: Contribute to the development of a high-performing legal team and manage direct reports.
Emerging Technologies: Monitor and advise on legal implications of emerging technologies such as AI, blockchain, and others in alignment with the company's expansion goals.
External Counsel Coordination: Collaborate with external law firms, ensuring clear communication and alignment with business needs while managing timelines and budgets.
Qualifications & Experience: Qualified lawyer with 7-10 years PQE from a leading law firm or in-house legal department.
Expertise in technology and commercial contract drafting and negotiation.
Experience managing complex projects and delivering successful outcomes.
Proven ability to develop effective relationships and influence decision-making across all organisational levels.
Strong strategic mindset, capable of navigating intricate legal challenges.
International exposure or experience within the fashion or retail sectors (desirable)
