**Head of Software Development, £90,000, Ferndown**

**Role purpose**

As **Head of Software Development,** you will operate as the **most senior technical leader** in the business, as a key part of the Senior Leadership Team, creating, developing and **executing effective strategies**, and **delivering infrastructure solutions** in line with company growth plans. You will head up the technical function as the business transitions to the cloud.

**AsHead of Software Development, you'll**:

- Lead and manage the various software development teams, consistently producing high quality results
- Ensure technology objectives are met, on time and within budget
- Execute and improve effective solution delivery processes
- Maintain a customer focussed outlook in all software solution deliveries
- Work with senior stakeholders to build technology roadmap of the business

**AsHead of Software Development, you'll have**:

- Working knowledge of software engineering principles with practical experience of cloud platforms
- Experience working with complex and technical projects
- Ability to design scalable and maintainable solutions, integrating security, performance and quality
- A broad understand of technology, including Java, security protocols, different databases, and cloud architectures
