Greenspace Operative

HMS are recruiting x16 temporary seasonal Greenspace Operatives to assist with increased workload during the busy summer period, 11 March - End of October 2024.

Our seasonal teams operate in small teams and will predominately cover the St Helens and Warrington areas, with some work extending to Liverpool.

Working hours are 41 hours per week, 07:30 - 16:30 Monday to Thursday and 07:30 - 15:00 Friday.

**This is an important role in which you will**:

- Work as part of a team in delivering a wide range of high-quality landscape maintenance and improvement works, such as grass cutting, hedge trimming, weeding, and pruning to ensure green spaces are well-kept.
- Ensure all machinery, tools, and equipment are maintained in good and safe working order.
- Ensure all work sites are maintained to a high safety standard.

**To be successful in this role you will**:

- Experience of landscape maintenance and working in public areas.
- Experience of operating horticultural machinery such as hedge-cutters, strimmers, ride-on, and/or pedestrian mowers, along with a strong understanding of how to operate machinery safely.
- A good understanding of Health and Safety, experience of following Risk Assessments, and vigilance towards potential hazards whilst conducting works on site.
