Salary: Grade 5, SCP 25 - £33,945

Contract: Full time, permanent position.Working Pattern: 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday 8am to 3:30pm.You will also be required to undertake 3 weekends of contractual overtime per financial year. This will consist of 7 hours, Saturday and 7 hours, Sunday on each weekend. Overtime will be paid in accordance with established rates. You will also be required to take part on the emergency standby forestry call-out rota (approx. 6-8 weeks per year) currently paid at per week.Reference Number: LSSL0221We are seeking to recruit arborists as part of our greenspaces service to deliver a 24/7 arboriculture service efficiently and safely across an array of challenging locations. You will be required to liaise with colleagues and work in a productive and time sensitive manner.As part of this role you will support the service to deliver a range of Arboricultural operational activities. You will undertake technical arboriculture works, inclusive of aerial tree works, technical dismantles and young tree maintenance. You will be required to install traffic management requirements in accordance with the Safety at Street Works and Road Works Code of Practice issued under the New Roads and Street Works Act 1991.You will be required to deliver safe, planned methods of work on complex tree maintenance operations on busy highways and across LSSL’s Greenspace service area.To fulfil the requirements of the role you must hold your advanced technical arboricultural operational certificates (or modern equivalents) including:• NPTC style="font-size: 12pt;"> • NPTC style="font-size: 12pt;"> • NPTC CS32• NPTC CS38• NPTC CS39If not already held you must have the ability to gain NPTC CS40 & CS41.You must have practical experience in delivering Arboricultural operations. A full UK driving license (Cat B) is required.
