We are looking for a proactive and forward-thinking Enforcement Planning Officer with excellent negotiating skills who seek solutions to issues and who uses their experience and technical knowledge to deliver the right solution to the problems that arise.

This is a great opportunity to be part an enforcement team and to have a real input into the development of the Team by reviewing current policies and procedures and by expanding the use of our newly upgraded IT system to achieve a robust, streamlined and paperless enforcement process.

**What will I be doing?**

The Council receives on average 250 notifications of unauthorised development and/or breaches of Planning Control per year. The enforcement team which comprises of 3 full time staff are charged with investigating and resolving these complaints through negotiation and/or by serving formal notice (breach of condition notice/enforcement notice/Section 215 notice) to achieve the desired outcome.

The council also promotes a flexible working environment with mix of office and home working being encouraged. The importance of face-to-face team contact however is recognised and therefore your attendance in the office at times will be necessary.
