**Head of Human Resources**

We are looking for an experienced Head of Human Resources to lead the HR & Payroll function at an exciting charity in Milton Keynes.

**Position**: Head of Human Resources

**Location**: Milton Keynes (Hybrid)

**Hours**: Full-time, 36.5 hours per week

**Contract**: Permanent

**Salary**: circa £52,212 - £57,380 per annum, depending on experience + a good range of benefits

**About the role**:
The Head of Human Resources will be working closely with the Chief People Officer (CPO) and the Head of Learning, Engagement & Inclusion (HLE&I). You will also help lead the delivery of the organisation’s People Strategy, with particular emphasis on leadingthe development of workforce and human resources plans. As a member of the organisation’s Operational Leadership Team, you will influence organisational decision-making relating to people management and work with organisational leaders to plan and deliverchange programmes across the organisation.

**Key responsibilities will include**:

- In collaboration with the CPO and the HLE&I, lead the P&C function within the organisation.
- Help lead the implementation of the People Strategy for the organisation aligned to their global strategy with a particular emphasis on human resources, workforce planning, pay, total rewards and employee wellbeing.
- Influence and coach leaders and senior managers to lead through complex and changing times and to participate in, and champion, development and behaviour and change initiatives.
- Set success criteria/indicators, monitor the impact of initiatives against those, adjust the strategy and deliverables accordingly and be accountable for progress made.
- Is accountable to the CPO for the delivery of a high performance and effective HR function.
- Model a commitment to living out the core values of the organisation, with specific responsibility for spiritual nurture of the HR department. Full participation in devotional meetings.
- Accountable for the delivery of fair, diverse and efficient recruitment practices.

**About you**:
For the role of Head of Human Resources, you will have the confidence to lead a HR function in a complex organisation, including managing and developing HR professionals in a busy environment, experience developing and implementing HR solutions and changeprogrammes and excellent collaboration skills to work closely with other senior leaders to influence, set direction and create a high-performance environment and working behaviours.

To perform well in this role, you’ll need:

- Post-graduate qualification (or equivalent) in Human Resources Management/Development, Business Leadership, or related fields or demonstrable evidence of continued professional development and accreditation.
- (Chartered) Membership of professional body (CIPD) and evidence of engagement in professional networks.
- This role requires an experienced HR professional with the confidence to lead an HR function in a complex organisation, including managing and developing HR professionals in a busy environment.
- Demonstrable experience in successfully delivering HR transformation and integrating it into the overall business strategy.
- Significant experience in delivering advice and guidance to senior leaders on organisational people management and complex casework that balances the needs of the business and individual.
- Track record of developing and delivering solutions across a full range of HR disciplines including total rewards, resourcing and recruitment, employee engagement, employee relations, and HR service delivery.
- Track record in developing a strong internal team that is fit for purpose and can deliver high quality HR services to the organisation and meets our client needs.
