We are currently looking for an Inventory controller to join the team in our GP1 site.

We are offering a salary of £26350.40 per annum

Key responsibilities:

- Goods in, picking & put away, replenishment and despatch. Use of WMS solution to accurately track and control inventory.
- General warehouse duties including the use of manual handling techniques and use of MHE.
- Ensure that any issues with meeting expectations are communicated both within Yusen Logistics business and to the customer as required.
- Establish and maintain good customer relationships, both internally and externally. Act as a customer contact for order updates and load processing.
- Ensuring that professional and effective communication is always maintained.
- Ensure any concerns, issues or variances to instructions are immediately communicated to your line manager to allow appropriate action to be taken at the earliest opportunity.
- Continuously look to improve processes and procedures to drive efficiency and improvement in business operation and customer service.
- Ensure all health and safety procedures are adhered to all times, raising any non-compliances or concerns at the earliest opportunity.

Qualifications/Experience:

- Good understanding of warehouse operations is highly desirable.
- Proven experience in a similar role.
- Proven ability to interface with internal and external stakeholders.
- Proven ability to work well under pressure and to tight deadlines.
- Experience of using AS/400 Computer Systems OPUS Tracker Tracer or equivalent.
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
- Team player who can use initiative when required.
- Experience of Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint experience is desirable.
