Facilities Technician Nights

**Opportunity for facilities technician to join an international manufacturing business. This is a new role and you will receive a salary of £36,250 plus benefits including a potential bonus of up to 4%, private medical cover, pension and 25 days holiday+ Bank Holidays.**

The role will involve working nights over the weekend (6pm-6am Friday, Saturday and Sunday) and it will be initially a 12 month fixed term contract, but there is potential for the role to become permanent.

You will work as part of the technical department providing weekend cover for facilities maintenance and will carry out a variety of tasks relating to plumbing, joinery, painting, etc.

**As the facilities technician, your duties will include**:

- Ensuring compliance on site steam systems and that they are in safe working condition
- Completing steam system tests and checks, taking appropriate action depending on the state of the systems
- Recording test results in steam systems log book
- Completing a variety of building repairs to a high standard
- Working efficiently during time when working alone
- Working in accordance with planned maintenance system relating to all facilities and/or buildings equipment
- Completing and implementing risk assessments
- Checking that agreed work by staff or contractors has been completed satisfactorily and report any deficiencies to line manager
- Responding appropriately to emergencies or urgent issues as they arise and follow company procedures.
- Completing effective handovers between shifts to maximise resource efficiently when completing tasks
- A recognised vocational qualification (Level 3 City & Guilds, BTEC, ONC, etc.) in a trade discipline such as plumbing, carpentry, etc.
- Good general all round skills relating to plumbing, joinery, painting, etc.
- Experience within a manufacturing environment is desirable
- IT competency to use a computerised maintenance management system (CMMS) proficiently

**In return, the facilities technician will receive a salary of £36,250 (including shift allowance) + potential annual bonus, private medical, pension, 25 days holiday plus bank holidays, etc.**

Hours of work are 6pm-6am Friday, Saturday and Sunday. The role is an initial 12 month fixed term contract with potential for it to become permanent.
