Our Commitment is to help you gain aLevel 2 Apprenticeship in Customer Servicewithin an 14 month contact. Hours of work will be 37.5 hours per week with a salary of £198 per week for 12 months then National mínimal wage for age. As part of the apprenticeship program you will learn in the workplace and have off the job training.

An excellent opportunity has arisen for an Apprentice within ourOutpatients department at Coalville Community Hospital. We are looking for an enthusiastic, motivated individual to join our administration team. Within the role you will always be part of the team so you must be adaptable, flexible, work well under pressure, have good communication skills and demonstrate effective learning.

You should have a good working knowledge ofMicrosoft OfficeincludingWord,ExcelandOutlook. This role will enable you to learn and develop your skills and gain experience in a non-clinical role within a health care setting and give you a taster of how developing a career within the NHS would work for you.

**The post-holder will play a major part in**:

- Providing an efficient and friendly front of house reception service
- Providing valuable administration support to the Outpatient Administration Team
- Leaning how to become a team player in a fast moving department
- Learning valuable customer service skills

**About the University Hospitals of Leicester NHS Trust**: (leicestershospitals.nhs.uk)
- To work in a supported learning environment to develop the skills and knowledge which will assist the apprentice to complete their qualification and secure employment and progress in their career in the future.
- To provide a high quality reception and support service for the ward including greeting patients and visitors to the ward, answering and directing telephone enquiries, booking appointments and preparing medical records for patients.
- To ensure timely input of patient information onto departmental/hospital computer systems.
- To develop a versatile approach to be able to assist staff groups particularly the Ward Sister in performing a range of administrative duties efficiently.
- A professional, helpful and friendly manner is required for this post as the receptionist is usually the first point of contact for patients and visitors to the ward.
- To provide general office and administration support to the ward team.
- All aspects of this role should be carried out in line with Trust policies and procedures on data collection and information governance regarding patient and staff confidentiality.
