Drawing on over 40 years’ experience of refugee resettlement; Refugee Action are continuing to work across the West Midlands and Northwest to welcome refugees to the region. We are looking for a committed, compassionate and motivated individuals to join us as Resettlement Workers.

This position will involve providing support to newly arrived refugees around housing, health, education and employment in co-operation with a wide range of agencies.

With a focus on fostering independence and respect for the culture, personal history and situation of service users you will also have experience of undertaking support work with clients in their own accommodation, and of developing assessment plans to meet clients’ needs.

**To succeed in the role, you will need to demonstrate**:

- Understanding of the issues facing refugees and other new arrivals during integration to a new community.
- Commitment to Shifting Power and anti-racist practices
- Understanding of how the UK’s hostile and racialised border regime impacts on those affected by it
- Ability to deliver care plans in cooperation and partnership with a range of organisations and experience of doing so.
- Ability to organise and deliver training sessions, workshops and events, and substantial experience of doing so.
- An understanding of Refugee / Diaspora Communities and insight to how to collaborate with a range of providers to support them
- Experience and understanding of supporting volunteers to deliver services to clients.
