We are looking for an experienced Bookkeeper to join a small, friendly accountancy practice on a part-time basis.

After your initial training in Whitstable, you can work from home, with weekly catch-up meetings in person or via video call. (Although working remotely, you must live within an easy travelling distance of Whitstable).

Hours: 15 - 20 per week.

You can be flexible in your working hours as long as you meet client deadlines.

The aim is to provide support in bookkeeping and reporting plus other auxiliary duties, including:

- Bank reconciliations
- invoice processing
- Month end process
- Trial-balance preparation
- VAT submission
- Management reports and Profit & Loss reports
- Payroll including CIS
- Journals

There is a lot of Excel-based work, so you should know basic functions and formulae well.

The accounting software varies according to clients, but it is mainly Xero.

Starting date ASAP, working from home but with frequent video conferencing or in-person communication.

Ideally, AAT or working towards it and with some professional experience.
